What to expect from funding flows
Funding routes can involve different chain families and bridge behaviors. The most important thing for users is understanding that address generation, quotes, and status tracking are not all identical across every route.
Funding flows and fee recovery flows are related, but they are not the same thing. A normal deposit or withdraw action does not always tell you whether a separate post-trade platform fee is still waiting to be settled.
Deposit addresses can vary by chain family
Deposit flows can generate addresses for EVM, Solana, Tron, and Bitcoin-style routes, depending on the funding path you select.
Status tracking is not equally reliable for every address type
Bridge status polling is currently most reliable for EVM bridge addresses. A valid Solana, Tron, or Bitcoin deposit address may still have limited upstream status visibility.
Quotes and final status are different things
A quote provides an estimated destination amount before execution. Status is better treated as a lifecycle update rather than the only source of final destination quantity.
Withdraw tracking can use a different intake address than your final destination chain
For some routes, the product tracks a bridge intake address while the destination remains another chain. That is expected behavior for the current bridge flow.
When a deposit is really for fee recovery
Some PredictDog products settle platform fees after the trade or swap succeeds. If that later fee-settlement balance is too low, your account can show a restricted or recovery-needed state until the overdue fee is covered.
In that situation, the practical fix is usually to add funds to the matching settlement rail, not just to review the original trade.
Examples:
- Polygon post-trade fee recovery can require more Polygon USDC.e in the proxy wallet.
- Predict.fun fee recovery can require more BNB USDT or BNB, depending on the fee path.
- Solana memecoin or swap fee recovery can require more Solana USDC or SOL, depending on the settlement asset.
Withdraw and recovery are different decisions
If your account is waiting on overdue fee settlement:
- A withdraw flow is still conceptually a separate action from fee recovery.
- Removing more of the required settlement asset can keep trading restricted for longer.
- Restoring the needed settlement balance is the path that helps overdue fee recovery resume.
The key idea is simple: a fee-recovery prompt is asking you to restore the settlement balance for a previous trade, not to complete a new trade or a normal withdraw.
